Job Description: The Ascent Church in beautiful Monument, Colorado is currently accepting resumes for the position of Assistant Director of Elementary Ministries. This is a part time job offering 25 hours per week including Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings with flexibility on most other days. The Assistant Director of Elementary Ministries must have a passion for sharing God’s love and the gospel message with children and families. Job roles include planning Sunday morning and mid-week programs and coordinating volunteer teams. Other requirements include the ability to engage a room full of children or adults; problem solving skills, confidence in volunteer recruitment; creativity; organizational and planning skills; and excellent written and verbal communication. Previous work as a program coordinator or school teacher is a plus. Previous experience with Church Community Builder, Disciplr, Planning Center and ProPresenter (web-based platforms) are also a benefit.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in staff development, prayer & planning

  • Recruitment & development of elementary volunteer teams

  • Maintain volunteer communication and oversee scheduling

  • Provide ongoing communication with parents

  • Coordinate K-6th Sunday and mid-week programming

  • Maintain elementary check-In station

  • Oversee Buddy Ministry for elementary (Special Needs)

  • Assist with children's ministry classes such as Intro to Baptism

  • Assist with special events

  • Maintain personal spiritual growth

Job Requirements:

  • Team player, coachable, conscientious, and creative

  • Strong organizational, people and communication skills

  • Minimum of 1 year in ministry experience or working with elementary children

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and see them through to completion

  • High energy with capacity to be on his/her feet for 6 hours straight, walking, moving items such as tables, chairs, light equipment, etc.

    Boulder Chinese Evangelical Free Church, located in Lafayette, Colorado, is a small church with great potential for ministry growth. We currently have a Chinese speaking congregation of mostly adults, and an English speaking congregation of mostly youth.  We are seeking a full-time Youth/English minister.     Contact: Pastor Canaan Harris (303)744-1015 canaan@centralchristiandenver.org Position Description: Central Christian is hiring a part-time Youth Minister for our small but consistent group of youth that participate on Sunday mornings. The position requires being at church on Sunday mornings from 8:30am-12:30pm plus 1 paid planning hour per week for a total of five hours a week.  The Youth Minister is expected to arrive at the church on Sunday mornings by 8:30am to engage with the youth and their families as they arrive. The youth will then join in “Sunday School” style discussion at 9am, sit together in worship at 10am, and then have additional “Youth Group” style community building time after worship from 11:15-12:30pm. The Youth Minister will also have opportunities to participate in worship, get to know the youth and their families outside of church, and provide leadership for other activities and ministry opportunities for youth as needed. Currently, Central has less than ten active teenagers involved on Sunday mornings, however the position is capable of growing along with the size and needs of the group. The position reports directly to the Senior Pastor and therefore also can serve as an opportunity for vocational mentorship or internship in ministry. Position Requirements: The position of Youth Minister requires a commitment to faith in Jesus Christ, a sincere desire to work with youth and encourage their faith, and experience working with teenagers.
