The Nursery Caregiver provides childcare for children in the specific area to which they are assigned, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. Caregivers work under the supervision of the Nursery Coordinator and under the direct leadership of the Nursery Lead. Caregiver engages in continuous improvement, teamwork, and communication training, to improve customer service and job performance as necessary.
All Nursery employees are expected to:
· Provide a welcoming, nurturing and safe environment for everyone in connection with the Nursery
· Represent Christ and the Church with grace and hospitality, providing Christian missional teachings and behaviors as appropriate.
· Work collaboratively with other staff towards the Church’s ministry vision and goals and respect confidentiality
Active member of First Presbyterian Church or active member of a local Christian congregation. Holds beliefs that are consistent with those of First Presbyterian Church.
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school or equivalent education required
Current First Aid/CPR certification is necessary (training provided)
Childcare experience preferred
Computer experience helpful
Flexibility in the daily activities of the position is essential
Good communication skills
Biblically-based knowledge helpful
Ability to act with composure
Love for children and families
Hours: approximately 10-15 hours/week, including some Sundays and evenings, with flexibility to work special events and additional hours as needed
Pay: $11.10 per hour
